Temporary closure of the CCQ’s service counters

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) will close its customer-service counters throughout Québec starting Monday, March 16. This closure will be in effect until further notice.

This measure is being taken to avoid spreading the virus and to protect the health of the organization’s employees and clientele. Under the circumstances, the CCQ also foresees staff shortages. For this reason, the closure of the counters will enable the agents concerned to be assigned to processing of applications and taking calls in order to maintain the highest possible level of service.

The other ways of contacting us remain available:

  • By phone: 1 888 842-8282 (during the usual service hours: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday)

  • Via the Web form (for general questions only)

Suspension of qualification examinations leading to the status of journeyperson

Qualification examinations are also suspended until further notice. We will contact all workers already registered for an exam as soon as possible. Measures intended to minimize the impact of this situation on our clientele will be announced in coming days.

Situation on construction sites

Site visits will be maintained, but specific directives have been issued to the concerned CCQ personnel for protection of their health and that of the people on sites. As under normal circumstances, other intervention strategies (such as audits and remote observation) will also be used to ensure compliance on construction sites.
