Postponement of awards for vocational training centresFor this edition of the competition, the context of COVID-19 has obliged the CCQ to postpone awarding the Mixité en chantier – Mentorat (Mentorship) award, which recognizes public educational institutions that help to increase the proportion of women on Québec construction sites.
A lasting relationshipThe CCQ is particularly proud to continue its relationship with the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur for the Chapeau, les filles ! competition, which recognizes the perseverance of women who have chosen to practise trades traditionally occupied by men. This competition offers relevant models of women and institutions that may positively influence women to have an interest in the construction industry.
The CCQ would like to congratulate the recipients, as well as the female students and educational institutions that entered the competition, for their boldness and their determination to leave the beaten path in order to encourage women and men to work well together on construction sites.
